The club was represented at the Scottish West District Cross Country Relay Championships at Kilmarnock on Saturday 5th of October.
First up were the junior females, 2 teams were fielded with Team A: Nina Clark U13, Skye Christie U15 and Matilda Frew U17. Team B were Jessica Caskie U13, Elspeth Thorpe U15 and Eva Morrison U17.
Team A were started by Nina with a time of 11.35 placing her 13th of the Under 13s. Skye was next completing the course with a time of 11.00 placing her 5th out of the Under 15s, Matilda Brought Team A home with a time of 10.25 putting her in 3rd place of the under 17s giving the team an overall time of 33.00 placing them 5th overall.
Team B were started by Jessica with a time of 12.39 placing her in 35th place of the U13s. Elspeth was next with a time of 12.26 placing her 31st of the U15s. Eva brought Team B home with a time of 11.31 putting her 18th of the U17s giving the team an overall time of 36.36 placing them 23rd overall.
Next up were the boys with just 1 team fielded comprising of Max Tobin U13 running in his first ever Cross Country race for the club, Brian Heslop U15 and Angus Wilkinson U17.
Max started them off with a time of 12.48 placing him 28th in the U13s. Brian was next up with a time of 9.58 putting him 9th out of the U15s, Angus finished off for the team with a time of 8.50 putting him 5th place in the U17s, giving the team an overall time of 31.36 placing them 13th overall.
The Senior Women were up next with 2 teams fielded. Team A was Aimee Anderson, Amy Andrew and Kelly Baillie. Team B was Vivien Thorpe, Laura Hervas and Erin Chapman.
Team A were led home by Aimee finishing with a time of 14.58, Amy 16.09 and Kelly 15.29 giving them an overall time of 46.36 putting them in 11th place
Team B were led home by Vivien with a time of 16.44, Laura 19.46 and Erin 17.44, giving them an overall time of 54.14 placing them 24th.
Finishing the day was the Senior Men. Team A was Aaron Thomson, Sam Hosie, Grant Baillie and John Ferguson. Team B had Andrew Forteath, David Ross, David Gorman and Jamie Clements. Team C was Andrew Chapman running himself.
Aaron led Team A home with a time of 12.57, followed by Sam 12.25, Grant 11.54 and John 12.09, giving an overall time of 49.25 putting them in 8th place.
Team B finished 13th place with an overall time of 54.26. They were led home by Andrew 12.35, David Ross 12.57, David Gorman 14.18 and Jamie Clements 14.36
Team C Andrew Chapman finished with a time of 15.20.
Next up will be the Scottish National Relay Championships at Cumbernauld on Saturday 19th of October.
