CLUB RECORD FOR THE 4X100M GIRLS

The 4x100m team of Shannon McMahon, Laura McCracken, Arlene Barr and Chloe Mason set a new club record of 52.4 when winning their U17 event on Sunday.

Their time replaces the mark of 52.6 set in 1985 by Mary Shearer, Fiona Watt, Alison Quinn and Karen Gallacher. I remember these girls - they were fast!
To put it further in persepective, Shannon is 14, Arlene and Laura are 16 and Chloe is 12. Their time was 1.9 seconds faster than EK's winning 4x100m U15 BOYS team on Sunday.
Well done girls - keep up the good work.
